Outfit Of The Day

30 Sep

Hey y’all lovely readers!

I have decided to start doing an outfit of the day in order to add my niche in life to this blog. My goal is to help those who are not fashionably inclined to becoming just so. I now present to you my very first outfit of the day:

(I’m a big Harry Potter nerd, in case you didn’t get that.)

Because it is now Fall, richer colors are a must-have. One of the colors I’ve noticed that has begun to have a huge impact on the fashion scene is a deep purple, which is why I chose a purple dress. I decided to draw inspiration from the badass, female pirate, Elizabeth Turner, and wear this long-sleeve, ruffle dress. I added a belt to give the dress some edginess, and huge black/gold bangles to both wrists because pirates are always surrounded by gold treasures. To my ears, some teardrop earrings, and then black flats to my feet. Finally, I coated my lips in a deep purple to add a little more drama to the entire outfit, and wallah, my pirate look=complete.

Side note, all accessories are from Aldo. If you have never stepped foot in that store, I highly suggest you do because they have the best essentials to complete ANY outfit.

Remember to subscribe/follow and tell all your friends to, as well! Ciao!

…And an update.

24 Sep

Oh hey everyone, fancy meeting you here for the first time in, I don’t know, a month. Recently, I’ve gone and got myself two jobs, and an internship to add to the full-time student status. Thus my going missing, and not updating frequently. I’ve been a very busy bee!

Anyhow, I now work for my school newspaper, Ka Leo, and am a part of the features desk. Check out our website at www.kaleo.org!! I also am employed for Valerie Joseph, and couldn’t be happier, as I am trying to go into fashion journalism, and our store is always up to date with the latest trends. Plus, I get an awesome discount, and work with fabulous women! If you live in Hawaii, or plan on vacationing, I highly recommend you check out the boutique, located on the first floor of the Ala Moana Shopping Center! For more information, please visit, www.facebook.com/valerie.joseph.52.

A little side info, yesterday, I worked at Valerie’s annual Fresh Fashion event for Community Helping Schools, which is a non-profit organization that works to match resources to all public Oahu schools. This was my first fashion show, and words cannot explain how awesome the experience was. The food, drinks, music, entertainment, and fashion show were all off the charts, and made my first experience a memorable one!

And finally, I am interning at a local fashion magazine, DISFunkshion. The magazine is “fashion, art, and culture for the modern woman.” The goal is to reach every woman, because every woman is unique in their own way, and we really want to convey this in our work! You can pick up a magazine at Barnes and Noble, or visit the website at www.dfsmag.com.

In other news, I went to my first rave this weekend. And the number two DJ in the world was there, Steve Aoki!!!!! I was quite inebriated, but still had SO much fun. Some pictures:

To conclude this post, I’m going to leave y’all with The Sexual of The Week!!!! It is a repeat, but I got an e-mail from a digital publicity firm in LA called The Confluence with an exclusive video of actor, Joseph Gordon-Levitt. I’m one of the first to have it, so boom! I’m important. Awesome. Here you go, happy viewing!
